This recipe is hydrating and nourishing and great for relaxing tired muscles and irritated skin. Lavender promotes relaxation and eases anxiety.
Makes about 2 cups
2 tbsp coconut oil
15 drops lavender essential oil
1/4 cup lavender buds
1 cup Epsom salts
1/2 cup bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
1/2 cup full cream milk
Make a double boiler by placing a large glass bowl over a large pan of simmering water. Allow the water to lap at the bowl, but not to flow over the edges fo the pan.
Add the coconut oil and heat gently until melted. Remove the bowl from the pan, then allow the coconut oil to cool a little, but not so much that it re-solidifies.
Place all remaining ingredients in the bowl with the coconut oil and mix together to fully combine. Transfer to a container or use immediately poured into your bath water.
