I've personally reviewed these oils and use them in many of my homemade recipes.

Here's the rundown >>>

1 > ROSE HIP OIL

The Ordinary

100% Organic Cold-Pressed

Rose Hip Seed Oil

Sustainably sourced

30ml

RRP $18.90

What's is it?

It’s derived from the rosa canina rose bush, which is grown mostly in Chile. Unlike rose oil, which is extracted from rose petals, rosehip oil is pressed from the fruit and seeds of the rose plant.

Benefits

Rosehip oil has a long history as a therapeutic remedy and beauty product. It’s full of vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids that are all valued for their ability to nourish the skin.

Scientific studies showing rosehip oil’s promise make it an intriguing option for anyone looking to reduce the visible signs of ageing, clear up scarring, or otherwise improve their skincare routine. Not only is it reasonably affordable and easy to use, it’s considered generally safe for all skin types.

How to use it?

Apply a small amount once a day to the face, ideally at bedtime after your low-tox cleansing routine.

2 > VIRGIN CHIA SEED OIL

The Ordinary

100% Organic Virgin Chia Seed Oil

Cold-Pressed

Sustainably sourced

30ml

RRP$12.90

What is it?

It's simply the oil derived from chia seeds. Yup, so the stuff is good for inner and outer beauty. Yesss!

Benefits

Chia seed is considered the richest botanical source of omega-3 fatty acids found in nature, offering more than flax seed or fish oil. These fatty acids work to encourage a more plump look to the skin. They also help maintain moisture levels, which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as relieving dryness and peeling.

Chia seed oil is also a great source of vitamin B3 and zinc, which helps with oily skin and clogged pores. Many people prize it for its antioxidants, including chlorogenic acid and caffeic acid, as well as myricetin, quercetin, and kaempferol flavonoids. These components offer protection from environmental stressors. In fact, the antioxidants in chia seed oil have shown to be even stronger than vitamin C and vitamin E, two common and powerful antioxidants.

How to use it?

Apply a small amount once a day to the face, ideally at bedtime after your low-tox cleansing routine. Apply any excess to drier spots and cuticles. Carry in your bag for hydration touch-ups.

3 > MOROCCAN ARGAN OIL

The Ordinary

100% Organic Moroccan Argan Oil

Cold-Pressed

Sustainably sourced

30ml

RRP $12.90

What is it?

Often called ‘liquid gold’, argan oil is extracted from the kernels of the argan tree, which is native to Morocco.

Benefits?

People throughout the world have taken advantage of the many argan oil benefits to help treat skin infections, bug bites and skin rashes. And now it is used by men and women all over the world seeking an effective, all-natural moisturizer for skin and hair.

One of the main reasons that argan oil is so therapeutic is because it’s rich with vitamin A and vitamin E. However, Moroccan argan oil is also packed with antioxidants, omega-6 fatty acids and linoleic acid. Research shows that when applied to skin, argan oil benefits include easing inflammation while moisturizing the skin.

When applied externally, trocopherol from the vitamin E helps to boost cell production while promoting healthy skin and hair. This is why cosmetic companies are including it in their high-end anti-aging, hair and skin care products.

Pressed from the seeds of the Borago officinalis plant

5 > BORAGE SEED OIL

The Ordinary

100% Organic Borage Seed Oil

Cold Pressed

Sustainably sourced

30ml

RRP $7.20

What is it?

Borage oil is pressed from the seeds of the Borago officinalis plant, which is found throughout the United States and Europe.

Benefits?

This hydrating oil has been used for hundreds of years both internally and topically to treat inflammation. Borage Oil has some of the highest levels of Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) which is an essential fatty acid that the body can’t make on its own.

As Borage Oil has such high levels of GLA, it has incredible hydrating benefits for skin, perfect for sensitive skin issues. When the skin isn’t able to produce enough protective oils, it can easily dehydrate and result in inflammatory flare ups. When this occurs, applying Borage Oil topically can provide your skin with the essential fatty acids that it’s lacking.

How to use?

Apply a few drops daily or as needed to entire face ideally after your low tox cleansing routine.
