THE MEANINGS

The Major Arcana Tarot cards represent the life cycles, karmic lessons and the big archetypal themes that are influencing your life and your soul’s journey towards the rediscovery of its own greatness. The Fool plays the main character and makes his life journey through each card, unravelling new life lessons, meeting new teachers, overcoming challenges, learning deeper truths, and eventually reaching the completion of his journey with the World card.

This storyline is a great description of the accomplishments, setbacks, and lessons we all learn as we go through the trials and tribulations of our lifetime, growing into whole, complete beings by the end of our journey.

This is known as the Fool's journey and may make it easier for you to learn the meaning of the cards if you think of it as a storyline.

A MAJOR ARCANA CARD IN A TAROT READING

Seeing a Major Arcana card in a Tarot reading means that you are being asked to reflect on the life lessons and themes that are currently being presented at this time.

A Major Arcana indicates an important event, category or month and will help set the scene for the entire Tarot reading, often with the other cards relating back to that core Major Arcana meaning.

You are being asked to pay attention to the guidance being offered to you on your journey and take spirited action in order to move forward in full alignment with who you truly are.

If the cards are reversed, however, it may be a sign of repetition in your life. Whenever there is repetition in our lives, we are called to pay closer attention and ask if this repetition is serving us. If not, then we must bring into focus these lessons and master them before being able to step forward into your greatness.

that you are not paying enough attention to these important life lessons and you need to first master the lesson before being able to move forward.

Using the wisdom of the Major Arcana, you can either find your intended path or enhance your current path.
